The animated adaption of The Little Prince [1], by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, has been highly anticipated for months, and now there's some great news. Netflix has announced the movie's release date along with a brand-new trailer. The streaming service picked up the film in March, after Paramount Pictures unexpectedly dropped it from its schedule. A pilot's plane crashes in the desert, where he encounters a small, strange boy. The movie revolves around a young girl and her neighbor, an older man who is presumably the pilot. Mackenzie Foy, James Franco [2], Benicio Del Toro, Jeff Bridges [3], Rachel McAdams [4], and Ricky Gervais are all voicing the US version, which will be released on Netflix and in select theaters on August 5.
