Love It or Leave It: The Ruins Preview

On the one hand, novel by Scott Smith that has been praised by Stephen King. On the other hand, it kind of smacks of cheesy horror flicks like Turistas. What do you think? Will you be watching The Ruins when it opens April 4?

I like the book, but maybe the movie will be good but I'll wait until it shows up on DVD...

I am just too damned old for scary, spooky, bloody, & anything gross looking or sounding movies! I have a weak stomach & getting startled throughout a movie just irritates me! It looks like more of the same old..... Either way, I'll just have to pass on this one.

I loved the book, but i am afraid of anything that is overly CGI, especially when you are supposed to be scared of it (my mind says "its not frikkin real")

I read the book and believe me it's NOT a Touristas remake, totally different.

I love Jena Malone and it looks like it could be scary - or just gross. I'm bummed, I haven't seen a horror movie I liked since The Descent, and that was a pretty long time ago.

I'm a horror fanatic, and this doesn't have enough gore and bloodshed for me, but I might watch it online.

I really do not like Jenna Malone. She's really an awful actress. Complete over-actor.

My boyfriend has this book and loved it, so I read it and HATED it. The story itself was decent, I suppose, but the characters were so whiny and selfish and unlikeable, except for one, who was okay. I actually think the movie has got potential to be less annoying than the book because there will be more action and less development of the immature, hateful characters.
