The Oscar winner is also a devoted Game of Thrones [3] fan, which explains why in preparation for one of the most highly anticipated (and anxiety-inducing) episodes of the season on Sunday night, the actress took a moment to compare her twisted Us character to GoT's own Night King [4].
In a Twitter thread [5] shared just ahead of the Battle of Winterfell [6], Nyong'o pointed out the major similarities and differences between the Tethered [7] — the murderous, red-jumpsuit-wearing body doubles on a mission to decimate and replace America's population in Us — and the White Walkers [8]. From both groups' signature weapons [9] to the note about their fashion choices [10], I have to admit that some points were made.
