If you couldn't get enough of badass lawyers — and unlikely sex symbols [1] — Dean Strang and Jerry Buting on Netflix's 10 episodes of Making a Murderer [2], prepare to get pumped. The two Manitowoc County defense attorneys have just announced a tour [3], appropriately named "A Conversation on Justice," during which they'll visit cities across America to discuss the now-famous case and what it says about the country's justice system.
A press release described A Conversation on Justice as a sort of lecture series, which "will involve the two attorneys in conversation about the Steven Avery case and its broader implications, as well as a discussion on the larger topic of the American criminal justice system. Each night will also feature a Q&A portion and the opportunity for the audience to address questions directly to Dean Strang and Jerry Buting."
So check out the appearance dates and locations [4], slip on your Strang-inspired argyle socks and dad jeans [5], and buff up on all the questions you'd like to ask the pair of lawyers [6] about their case. Regardless of how you feel about Steven Avery's conviction, there's no denying that his dedicated lawyers have plenty of experience dealing with a flawed justice system . . . and this is an awesome opportunity for dialogue about a solution.
