Maleficent hits theaters on May 30, and ahead of the highly anticipated release, star Angelina Jolie has posed for the cover of Entertainment Weekly. In this week's issue, she admits, "It is really funny when people say you'd be obvious for a great villain." Those who have seen the creepy trailer know Jolie is, in fact, a spot-on Maleficent. "The exercise wasn't how can we have fun with a villain?" Jolie says. "It was: What turns people evil and vile and aggressive and cruel? What could have possibly happened to her?" We'll find out soon enough!
Jolie also admitted that her and Brad Pitt's daughter, Vivienne, scored the role of young Princess Aurora because "the other three- and four-year-old [performers] wouldn't come near me. It had to be a child that liked me and wasn't afraid of my horns and my eyes and my claws. So it had to be Viv." Fair enough.
