The movie, based on Andy Weir's bestseller, follows astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon [1]) as he gets stranded alone on Mars and essentially has to MacGyver his way home. It might be heavy on the science, but in a fun way — as evidenced by all the viral videos that have been released as part of the ad campaign.
