Parts for older women in Hollywood may be scarce, but there is one actress who's completely bulletproof: Meryl Streep. The Oscar winner is reportedly in talks for yet another award-worthy role, as Margaret Thatcher. Titled Iron Lady, the biopic will follow the former British prime minister in the days right before the 1982 Falklands War. It's described as "the story of a woman who smashed through the barriers of gender and class to be heard in a male-dominated world." Rawr!
Streep's Mamma Mia director Phyllida Lloyd is in discussions to helm the film. Something tells me we shouldn't expect the same level of silliness this time around.
