Movie Preview: Death at a Funeral

If teen comedy Superbad isn't your cup of tea, but you're still looking for a movie that will make you laugh this weekend, Death at a Funeral might be worth a try. Directed by Frank Oz, the movie centers on a dysfunctional English family whose supposedly staid and classy funeral for the patriarch of the clan is interrupted by one disaster after another, ranging from the delivery of the wrong body to the appearance of a mysterious stranger who knows a secret about the father. I first saw the trailer in the theater before Hot Fuzz, and it was a hit with the crowd that was already in the mood for some good British humor. To check out the trailer,

:ROTFL: that was hilarious. i love british comedy, even when the movie borderlines insane the actors always look very civilized and well-spoken. maybe it's because they're british.

Yum, Matthew McFadyen. Loved the rain soaked verbal sparring between him and Keira in Pride and Prejudice. Hot.

i was trying to figure out where i saw this trailer. And it was hot fuzz. I am stoked for this film. but i don't think it's playing at any theatres in north carolina.

It does look funny...and it has Matthew MacFadyen AKA Mr. Darcy from Pride & Prejudice. Hopefully I get a chance to see it soon :)

This looks very funny. I went to see Hot Fuzz as well and enjoyed it until about three quarters of the way through when it completely lost it's mind.

This sounds exactly like the film Eulogy - which was hilarious. Save a buck, rent Eulogy instead.
