Admittedly, the beautiful music made by Montreal's Stars can be a bit melancholy. According to frontman Torquil Campbell, the eerie romance is fully intentional: "If you could make horror movies that were like love stories, that would be my ultimate genre.”

So it's delightfully incongruous that the band's new video for "Window Bird" features cute stuffed-animal creatures cavorting through urban landscapes, lakes, and restaurants. The song appears on Stars' must-have fourth album, In Our Bedroom After the War, and hearing it over images of liberated stuffed animals makes it even more tender and gently heartbreaking.
