Last season's Nashville [1] finale left us with a lot of questions: Will Rayna revoke her acceptance of Luke's proposal? Will she instead accept Deacon's ring? Will Juliette and Avery stay together, despite her indiscretion with Jeff? And will Layla finally break up with Will in light of his confession? The soapy drama returns this week, and before you tune in, take a look at the premiere pictures, which hint at some of these cliff-hangers.
Juliette (Hayden Panettiere [2]) is in a bit of a slump.
Emily (Kourtney Hansen) and Glenn (Ed Amatrudo) come to her side.
Glenn's hair is looking excellent, as usual.
Avery (Jonathan Jackson) is also not having a great time.
Juliette returns to him in tears.
Looks like Avery gets a bit upset.
Oh no, here's the yelling.
Meanwhile, Luke (Will Chase) weaves his way through the crowd.
But Luke is self-assured, some might even say . . . cool handed?
Until he hears something he doesn't like.
Rayna (Connie Britton) is all smiles as she greets her fans.
Onto the concert sequence!
Deacon (Charles Esten) is having a good time rocking out solo.
Yep, no slowing down Deacon.
He's even got the spotlight on him.
But wait! Rayna's in the picture!
And my my, they're getting awfully close.
I wonder what Luke would think of this.
Oh man, they're vibing so hard right now.
I feel awkward even looking at this.
Maddie (Lennon Stella) goes in to talk to her father (Eric Close).
He's pretty busy with his tie.
Emily has a serious talk with Juliette.
She hands over the scissors . . .
And like magic, Juliette has a short new 'do. Are we supposed to believe she cut her own hair?
