Details: This spinoff takes place between the events of Episode III and Episode IV and centers on a group of rebels who plot to steal the plans for the first Death Star. Mendelsohn is playing a new big bad Imperial officer who is after the rebels. Check out more details here [4]!

Star Wars: Episode VIII

Release Date: Dec. 15, 2017
Director: Rian Johnson (Looper)
Cast: Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Benicio Del Toro [5], and basically the full cast of Episode VII [6]
Details: The film just started production, but we don't know much about the plot. However, Boyega has said [7] Finn will be seeing even more action. Also, reportedly Han (Harrison Ford [8]) will be back in some capacity! Here's what else we know [9].

Star Wars Anthology: Han Solo

Release Date: May 25, 2018
Directors: Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (The Lego Movie)
Cast: TBA, but there are a few front runners for the new Han Solo [10].
Details: All we really know about the young Han Solo spinoff is that it will begin production [11] next January. There's a small chance that the new Han will make a cameo in Rogue One, which is exciting!

Star Wars: Episode IX

Release Date: 2019
Director: Colin Trevorrow (Jurassic World)
Cast: TBA
Details: We know essentially nothing about this installment, except that Rian Johnson is writing the screenplay.
