Nickelodeon Shows Hey Dude, Clarissa Explain It All Hit iTunes

Now Available on iTunes: Your Childhood

If you were one of the people who turned my Hey Dude recast into a lovefest for '90s Nickelodeon, here's a bit of good news: As of today, you can download episodes of the show on iTunes!

The show, along with Clarissa Explains It All, Rugrats, and Doug (the good one, not the weird ABC one where they changed Doug's voice), is now available as part of Nick Rewind on iTunes, which exists specifically to feed our craving for nostalgia. No, really: “We hear from literally thousands of teens and young parents who say they want to see the shows that defined their childhood," one Nickelodeon executive said in announcing the service.

There's some slightly more recent fare in there, too (The Amanda Show, The Wild Thornberrys), but I'm most excited to go download some Clarissa. What about you? Will you be grabbing any of these episodes? And what shows do you hope Nick Rewind adds next? (My vote: Salute Your Shorts, then The Adventures of Pete and Pete.)

Boy howdy 15 would be great because the acting was so awful and yet for soem reason I watched every episode. Salute your shorts would be great too and I agree about All That it was great before the original cast grew up. Giant ear of corn anyone?

Oilybohunk7, I completely agree with you about SNICK. Shows were just better then. (great name btw! Totally make me laugh :D ) Great Sommelier, both Animaniacs and Tiny Toon Adventures are on DVD now. In fact, the first volume of TTA just came out yesterday!

I definitely agree with You Can't Do That On Television, but I prefer things on DVD. I don't download things and I want to be able to watch things on the television, not on my Ipod or computer. I would want pretty much everything though. I'd like Are Your Afraid of The Dark? too. I would love an entire channel entirely of 80s/early 90s kids shows.

This made my day! I can't wait to get home and download Clarissa and Hey Dude. I can go without The Rugrats. Northofantastic I remember SNICK. I LIVED FOR SNICK! Every show that was on SNICK was fantastic. I may just be romanticizing my youth but it seems like tv shows were just better then. I'm probably just getting old! I would LOVE Fifteen for some vintage Ryan Reynolds. I would also love The Secret World of Alex Mack, Are You Afraid of the Dark, Salute Your Shorts and Pete & Pete.

I probably miss All That the most. I loved the skits, and before it turned really lame when Jamie-Lynn Spears was on it.

I loooved Clarissa Explains it All, Rugrats, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Figure It Out, Doug, Beetlejuice, Bump in the Night, Rocko's Modern Life, Ren & Stimpy, Land of the Lost, The Secret World of Alex Mack, etc. I was such a Nickelodeon kid, it was before we bought the Disney Channel. I just watched some episodes of The Adventures of Pete & Pete recently, and it was sooo boring. I don't know why I liked that show.

The problem with rewatching shows from my childhood is that they are never as good as I remember.
