Just months after her onscreen brother, Steven R. McQueen, left The Vampire Diaries [1], Nina Dobrev has announced that she too is leaving the show. This is a huge shocker, given that Dobrev has been the leading lady for six seasons, and The Vampire Diaries has already been renewed for next season [2]. Does this mean that the series is jumping the shark, or can Dobrev's colleagues step up to make the show even better? Will Elena die? And if so, how [3]? And who will Stefan and Damon fight over now? We have so many questions [4]! Hopefully we'll be able to see Dobrev in The Final Girls, a horror-comedy that debuted at the South by Southwest Film Festival, when it gets a US release date.
