The big-screen adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's Pride and Prejudice and Zombies [1] has been through a lot. David O. Russell was originally set to direct, but he dropped out and Mike White stepped in. Then Craig Gillespie took over, and now Burr Steers is behind the camera. That's just the beginning the musical chairs. The cast has been the subject of rumors and shifts since the project was first announced in 2009. With the latest addition of Game of Thrones' Lena Headey and Charles Dance to the movie, we're sorting out who's actually involved and who has passed on Pride.
Out, Sort Of: Natalie Portman
Back in 2009 when the adaptation was first announced, Natalie Portman was set to star in [2] and produce the movie. Though she eventually dropped out [3] of playing Elizabeth Bennet, she has stayed on as a coproducer.
Out: Emma Stone
Stone was attached to the lead [4] in 2011, but she passed on the movie [5] before negotiations took place.
Out: Lily Collins
Last year, Lily Collins scored the part of Elizabeth Bennet [6], but the actress later dropped out of the project.
In: Lily James
James is set to play Elizabeth Bennet [7], the lead role. You'll be seeing even more of the Downton Abbey actress: she's also starring in 2015's Cinderella as the titular princess.
In: Sam Riley
Riley will play Mr. Darcy [8] in the adaptation. You may recognize him from starring alongside Kristen Stewart [9] in 2012's On the Road and his role as Angelina Jolie [10]'s right-hand man/bird in Maleficent.
In: Bella Heathcote
Heathcote is on board to play Elizabeth's sister [11], though it's not clear which one. The actress is familiar with spooky subject matter; she starred in Dark Shadows in 2012.
In: Douglas Booth
Booth (Noah, Romeo & Juliet) is playing Mr. Bingley [12], a friend of Mr. Darcy's.
In: Jack Huston
Boardwalk Empire's Huston will play Mr. Wickham [13], a charismatic lieutenant who has a romance with Elizabeth.
In: Emma Greenwell
Greenwell (Shameless) will portray Caroline [14], Mr. Bingley's bitter sister.
In: Matt Smith
Matt Smith is the latest star to join [15] the cast. He'll play Mr. Collins, a socially awkward parson who proposes to Elizabeth.
In: Lena Headey
Game of Thrones' Lena Headey has joined [16] the movie as well. No word on her character yet.

Headey's onscreen father, Charles Dance, has also joined [17] the zombie mashup.
