Regina King took home the Golden Globe for best supporting actress [1] for her role in If Beale Street Could Talk [2] on Sunday, but someone should really give her another for her incredible speech. After praising director Barry Jenkins for making a film that her son, Ian Alexander Jr. [3], could relate to, King used her platform to discuss the importance of creating fair workplaces for women. "In the next two years, I'm making a vow that everything that I produce will be 50 percent women," King said. "I challenge anyone out there who is in a position of power . . . I challenge you to challenge yourself and stand with us in solidarity and do the same." Grab the tissues and watch King's full speech above!
