Commander Paul Stamets on Star Trek: Discovery, the first openly gay character in the Star Trek television franchise.

Heredia originated the role of Angel in the Broadway production and played the character again in the film.

Though Heredia originated the iconic role of Angel Dumott Schunard, he's stuck mainly to TV and film since his time on Broadway. He's made appearances in Flawless, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Without a Trace. He returned to Broadway in 2011 to play Jacob in La Cage aux Folles, starred in the San Francisco Playhouse's production of Camelot, and Berkeley Playhouse's production of A Little Princess.

Menzel rose to fame after she played the role of Maureen in the Broadway production, and she reprised the role in the film.

Like a few of her other costars, Menzel is best known for her work on Broadway. In addition to her role as Maureen — which earned her a Tony Award nomination in 1996 — she originated the role of Elphaba in the Broadway musical Wicked (for which she won a Tony), and the role of Elizabeth Vaughan in the 2014 musical If/Then (which earned her a third Tony Award nomination). She joined the cast of Glee as Shelby Corcoran and played Nancy Tremaine opposite Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey in Enchanted.
