Is the sequel to Valentine's Day trying to top the star power of the first film? It sure seems so: the latest casting news for New Year's Eve has Sarah Jessica Parker joining the cast, along with Zac Efron and Halle Berry, who are in talks to appear as well.
The ensemble romantic comedy has already attracted the likes of Hilary Swank, Lea Michele, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Abigail Breslin, as well as folks from Valentine's Day, like Jessica Biel. As for the new recruits, Parker will play Breslin's devoted mom, Berry's role is as a caterer who encounters an ex, and Efron will play a bike messenger working for Pfeiffer. That's already a lot to keep straight, so let's hope that this holiday-themed flick is a little less tangled than its predecessor.
