Saturday Night Live Amy Poehler Intro Monologue Video

Did Saturday Night Live Kick Off on a High Note?

Amy Poehler helped ring in Saturday Night Live 's 36th season last weekend, and as her cute promos indicated, she was up for the job. One of my favorite parts was her monologue (watch it below now), which brought back Jimmy Fallon and Tina Fey and had Justin Timberlake in the mix.

Aside from the intro, there were a few other funny skits, like the Bronx Beat and new guy Jay Pharoah's spot-on Will Smith impression, but the episode on the whole didn't blow me away. Hopefully things will pick up when Jane Lynch and Emma Stone host later this season. Were you impressed by the premiere?

My one complaint? Not enough Amy Poehler! She has way funnier sketches that were not highlighted, which bummed me out. The Needlers, anyone? Thought Katy Perry on the Bronx Beat was hilarious. And Amy's dream about Justin Timberlake thinking she's a bad kisser. Too much! I just wish there had been more Amy. And please please please, if anyone from SNL is reading, get rid of "What's up with that?" It's so dumb.
