If you replace the cast of Friends with six British 20-somethings and trade Central Perk for an unused hospital, you get something along the lines of Crashing (which has nothing to do with the HBO show of the same name, FYI). Written by and starring Fleabag's Phoebe Waller-Bridge, it follows a group of friends who decide to shack up in an empty hospital in exchange for cheap rent, even though it comes with a strict set of rules.

Netflix has gradually been getting into the food game with shows like Chef's Table and Ugly Delicious, but Nailed It just might be my favorite addition. The genuinely hilarious half-hour baking competition recruits amateur bakers and challenges them to make desserts far beyond their skill level (the disastrous results will make you laugh out loud, truly). Oh, and Nicole Byer might be the best reality show host of all time.

In the mood for a dark British detective series with serious star power? Enter Collateral. Dear White People is one of those shows where, after watching, you'll wonder why it took you so long to get on board. In the weeks leading up to the premiere of The Characters, Netflix touted the sketch series as "outlaw comedy," giving eight rising stars in the comedy world 30 minutes to do whatever they wanted. Starring comedians like John T. Reynolds, Kate Berlant, John Early, and Natasha Rothwell, every half-hour episode is entertaining in its own way (especially Rothwell's, whose riff on Game of Thrones spoilers and a spot-on rap about basic b*tches makes it an easy favorite).

Chewing Gum is delightful in a wacky sort of way, following Tracy (Michaela Coel), a 24-year-old virgin trying to navigate her love life while hiding it from her extremely strict and religious mother and older sister. If that doesn't hook you, Tracy is obsessed with Beyoncé, which should be reason enough to watch both seasons.

On My Block is the latest coming-of-age comedy to hit Netflix, but don't misunderstand — this is not yet another attempt to re-create the magic of shows like Freaks and Geeks or Dawson's Creek. The young cast is incredibly talented and diverse, which makes the first season such a joy to watch. The series follows four lifelong friends as they navigate the ups and downs of both freshman year of high school and life in general in a rough neighborhood of South Central LA.

If you're still in need of a TV show to replace Lost, look no further. This Brazilian dystopian thriller imagines a crime-ridden world where three percent of the world's most elite individuals live in a remote island paradise called the Offshore, while the rest of society is left to fight it out in the poverty of the Inland. In a Hunger Games-esque twist, every citizen goes through a grueling set of tests when they turn 20, which decide whether or not they'll be allowed to join the Offshore.
