5 Songs You Didn't Know Lady Gaga Wrote

Oct 8 2016 - 6:00pm

We are so close to getting Lady Gaga's next album, Joanne [1], and with each new song (like the spine-tingling "Million Reasons" [2]), we are falling in love with Gaga all over again. Even though her new songs have us reinvigorated about Gaga's voice, she's also a killer songwriter. Gaga has had so many huge hits — "Poker Face" and "Bad Romance" among them — but did you know that Gaga has also written tracks for other artists? Here are the songs Gaga wrote for other musicians like Britney Spears [3] and Adam Lambert [4].

"Quicksand" by Britney Spears

The Circus album has this bonus track, which Lady Gaga [8] wrote. Fun fact: she also wrote "Telephone" for this album, but it was rejected, and that's how Gaga herself ended up recording it with Beyoncé.

"Fever" by Adam Lambert

Gaga contributed this song to Lambert's album For Your Entertainment.

"Elevator" by Pussycat Dolls

Gaga was a cowriter of this pop song, using her real name, Stefani Germanotta.

"Full Service" by New Kids on the Block

Gaga opened for NKOTB on their tour in 2008, and the collaboration was fruitful; in addition to being featured on another one of their songs ("Big Girl Now"), she also cowrote this song for them.

"Chillin" by Wale

Gaga is of course featured on this song, but she also cowrote the 2009 song with rapper Wale.
