Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
- The scoop: Chris Pratt and his motley crew of galactic misfits return in the second installment of James Gunn's Marvel series. Peter (Pratt) is searching for his family of origin, and as we see in the trailer, his father is played by Kurt Russell!

- The scoop: The details surrounding Alien: Covenant [18] have already convinced us to see the movie opening weekend. Ridley Scott is back as the director, and the cast includes Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, James Franco [19], and Danny McBride. That's a lot of people we're about to watch die terrible deaths by way of aliens.

Everything, Everything
- The scoop: If you're a fan of Nicola Yoon's 2015 YA novel, chances are good that you've been looking forward to this adaptation for a while. Amandla Stenberg (The Hunger Games) is starring as Maddy, a girl who's been trapped indoors her whole life because of her rare disease. She finally gets the chance to live when a daring boy (Nick Robinson) moves in next door.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
- The scoop: If dead men tell no tales, does that mean Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp [22]) survives the fifth Pirates movie? We're already creeped out by Javier Bardem [23] as the latest seafaring villain, but at least Orlando Bloom [24] will be back!

- The scoop: Newcomer Demetrius Shipp Jr. has some big shoes to fill. He's playing legendary rapper Tupac Shakur in this biopic, which also stars Kat Graham as Jada Pinkett and The Walking Dead [35]'s Danai Gurira as Shakur's mother.

- The scoop: The third installment of Disney-Pixar's speedy series brings back Owen Wilson [37] as Lightning McQueen, who is trying to prove he's still the fastest in all the land. New and returning favorites include Armie Hammer, Nathan Fillion, Bonnie Hunt, and Kerry Washington [38].

Rough Night
- The scoop: Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer, and Zoë Kravitz plays bridesmaids to bride-to-be Scarlett Johansson [40] in this comedy. The girls hit up Miami for the bachelorette [41] party . . . and end up accidentally killing a male stripper.

The Book of Henry
- The scoop: Precocious 11-year-old Henry (Jaeden Lieberher) takes care of his single mom (Naomi Watts [43]) and his younger brother (Jacob Tremblay) in this family drama. When Henry discovers a secret about the family next door (which includes his classmate, played by Maddie Ziegler), he takes it upon himself to come up with a solution.

- The scoop: If you're already considering seeing the fifth Transformers movie, do you really need to know what it's about? Seriously, just watch the trailer. Mark Wahlberg [45] and Josh Duhamel [46] are in it.

Baby Driver
- The scoop: Ansel Elgort plays a young getaway driver who agrees to pull off one last heist for his boss. Aside from the Divergent films, Elgort has been laying pretty low since The Fault in Our Stars, so it'll be good to see him return to a leading role. Plus, Jamie Foxx [48], Kevin Spacey [49], and Jon Hamm [50] are all costarring in the comedy.

- The scoop: South Park creator Trey Parker is voicing a former child actor who wants to take over the world in the third chapter of the popular family-friendly series. Steve Carell [52] will of course be back, alongside Jenny Slate, Kristen Wiig, Steve Coogan, and Russell Brand [53].

The House
- The scoop: Will Ferrell [55] and Amy Poehler [56] (you should already be super into this) are playing a husband and wife who hatch a plan to convert their basement into a casino. Comedy nerds will see plenty of familiar faces, including Jason Mantzoukas, Michaela Watkins, and Rob Huebel.

Spider-Man: Homecoming
- The scoop: After Peter Parker's quick introduction in Captain America: Civil War, we're being launched into the new Spider-Man's world in this standalone movie. Tom Holland [58] is playing the young web-slinger, who is trying to navigate being a teenager and his newfound abilities.

- The scoop: If Aladdin was actually a terrifying horror story, it would be Wish Upon. Joey King [60] stars as a girl who is granted seven wishes . . . but they come with a steep price.

- The scoop: The war continues as Caesar (Andy Serkis) decides he's done playing nice ape and actively strikes out against the humans. Woody Harrelson plays a colonel who's out for blood, and Judy Greer and Steve Zahn costar.

Valerian and the City of Thousand Planets
- The scoop: The title is a mouthful, but Luc Besson's sci-fi thriller looks incredible. Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne play time-traveling officers who are sent to report on an empire. Clive Owen [63], Rihanna [64], Ethan Hawke [65], and John Goodman are also starring, but it's the visuals that are the most impressive element so far.

- The scoop: Jada Pinkett Smith [67], Queen Latifah [68], Regina Hall, and Tiffany Haddish are joining forces as a group of friends who go on a much-needed vacation to New Orleans . . . and obviously get up to some hijinks.

- The scoop: This WWII story is making headlines for two very different reasons. First, Christopher Nolan is the writer and the director. Second, it's Harry Styles's acting debut (unless you count a 2012 episode of iCarly [70] in which he played himself).

- The scoop: Charlize Theron [72] is taking the skills she learned from The Fate of the Furious and using them to kick ass in Atomic Blonde. She stars as a deadly assassin working for MI6, and her costars include James McAvoy [73], John Goodman, and future Pennywise Bill Skarsgard [74].

- The scoop: We're insanely curious about this Stephen King adaptation, partially because we have yet to see any footage — though a trailer was shown at CinemaCon 2017. Matthew McConaughey [77] and Idris Elba are starring in the film, which follows two men living in a postapocalyptic Wild West.

Annabelle: Creation
- The scoop: Go back to the evil, evil beginning and find out why the creepy doll from The Conjuring is such an utter nightmare. The prequel takes us back to the early 20th century, when a grieving couple takes in a group of orphans.

The Hitman's Bodyguard
- The scoop: Ryan Reynolds [79] and Samuel L. Jackson [80] are teaming up for this action comedy about a bodyguard hired to protect a hitman. We need no other details; we're totally here for this.

Logan Lucky
- The scoop: Though we haven't seen any footage or pictures from Logan Lucky yet, we're sold by the cast alone: Channing Tatum [81], Daniel Craig [82], Hilary Swank [83], Seth MacFarlane, Adam Driver, Katie Holmes [84], Katherine Waterston, and Sebastian Stan. The comedy is about two brothers aiming to pull off a heist during a NASCAR race.
