i always enjoy the genre of dark, compelling movies the most. sure, comedies and action flicks have their place...but i absolutely love movies that make me think, talk to others, and recognize the pain that flows through us all.

I feel the same. I love disaster movies, particularly The Day After Tomorrow (I know, kinda lame). I don't know why it is though. Maybe, like you guys, I appreciate the good things in life, and I know it will probably never happen.

I actually enjoy dark and/or tragic movies the most; just like my favorite books are the most tragic ones (The Picture of Dorian Gray, Anna Karenina, My Sister's Keeper). I don't know what it is; maybe because my life ISN'T tragic at all; but I just find them the most enjoyable and compelling. don't get me wrong; I still love comedies and romance movies, etc.; but tragedies are the best...
