Video Trailer For Wall Street 2 Money Never Sleeps 2010-01-28 12:08:10

Teaser Trailer For Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps

Well, well, well. Just yesterday I was wondering when we'd see a few scenes from the Wall Street sequel, and this morning the teaser showed up. When we last saw Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas) way back in 1987, he was facing jail time for his illegal Wall Street activities. Twenty years later, he — along with his empty money clip and Zack Morris-sized cell phone — is released from prison to enter a very different financial world than the one he left.

The video playfully depicts just what Gekko's missed while he's in jail. Jacob Moore (Shia LaBeouf) and Bretton James (Josh Brolin) represent a sleeker, more stylized generation of Wall Street traders — at least on the surface. Once he's back in the real world, Gekko wastes no time imparting his words of wisdom to his daughter (Carey Mulligan)'s boyfriend Jacob, but has he been gone for too long to have any impact?

The film definitely has the potential to be totally tongue-in-cheek, but in the best way possible. Check it out for yourself and tell me what you think when you

shia desparately needs something better than transformers, so i hope this is good!! i really like him as an actor, he just needs to get away from action flicks and crappy sequels. haha! i realized after i wrote that last sentence this movie is a sequel, but i was referring to Indiana Jones and the Transformers franchise!!

Good trailer with some nice little nods to the original. GG showing just enough menace to tell you he's back - can't wait! Shia needs to be a little less neat though (he looks 16!); should be a little rougher around the edges but I think he'll surprise a lot of the doubters with this film. Sounded just like Charlie Sheen when he spoke. If you've never seen the original film, go watch it!!

HAHA I loved that huge cell phone. Never seen the original either, not sure if I really want to watch the follow up.

Good point about seeing the original. I've never seen it, either.

I'll see this because I like Carey Mulligan even though I've never seen the original...I probably should. ;)
