Video Tribute to John Hughes at the 2010 Oscars 2010-03-07 21:17:17

Watch the Touching Oscar Tribute to John Hughes

Molly Ringwald and Matthew Broderick played beloved characters in John Hughes movies (Ringwald played multiple, in fact), and the actors took the stage to honor the life of the acclaimed director. After sharing a few memories, we were treated to a montage of some of Hughes's most famous movies from Ferris Bueller's Day off to The Breakfast Club and beyond. Afterward, more actors including Macaulay Culkin, Jon Cryer, and Ally Sheedy took the stage to add to the love. Check out the touching tribute below.

i cried my face off watching this tribute, John Hughes defined my childhood, my pre teens, my teens and my adulthood. Molly looked the way she did because when you try to hold in emotions, you can look dazed, she was holding it together for the man who gave her a career.

molly is still a very pretty girl, i think even more now than when she was a teen. but she's stiff as a board and looked nervous as f. she needs to learn to chillax. she might get more werk if she'd get over herself. not saying to be mean, still a fan. just want to see her be more successful than she has been as an adult. though i could NEVER get up on stage like that, sheet, i'd run away crying from the nerves.
