Finally! Selena Gomez Confirms "SG2" Album Is Coming Early Next Year

It's been over four years since Selena Gomez introduced us to her more vulnerable side with Revival, her second studio album. Now, we're finally getting more music! On Thursday, the singer revealed that a new album is coming on Jan. 10, 2020.

The announcement of the new album, which fans have been dubbing SG2, also came with a short video featuring clips of her latest music videos, "Look at Her Now" and "Lose You to Love Me." Gomez also teased that an official title and track list "will be revealed soon."

Fans of Gomez have been excited at the prospect of another musical addition to her collection for quite some time now. While Gomez blessed us with ridiculously catchy singles like "Bad Liar," "Fetish," and "Wolves," we've been patiently waiting for a full album.

While promoting Hotel Transylvania 3 back in 2018, Gomez told POPSUGAR that she'd been working on her new record for two and a half years but was just waiting for the perfect moment to release it. "I don't know when the right moment is," Gomez said. "And I really mean that, not in a way that I'm trying to be mysterious or cool."

Gomez explained that she's waiting to feel inspired and that while she's gone back to add and make changes to her new music, in her mind, the album is complete. So why the wait? "It's hard to have a voice and make sure that your content means something," she said. We can't wait to hear what else she has in store for us. If her latest two singles are any indication, we're in for some incredibly emotional tracks.
