Yay! HBO Max Will Have Exclusive Streaming Rights to The Big Bang Theory Starting in 2020

It's hard to believe, but after 12 seasons, CBS's long-running sitcom The Big Bang Theory finally came to an end in May 2019. If you're nostalgic for the old seasons, we've got news for you. You can currently stream it online on CBS All Access, but starting in 2020, HBO Max will be the sole streaming service that will host the show.

If you're looking for other places to watch the show, however, you're going to have to pay to watch individual episodes or seasons. YouTube and Amazon Prime both have old seasons available for purchase but not included as part of an ongoing subscription package. The good news for fans, though, is that HBO Max will have all 12 seasons of the show available to stream, and it's included in your HBO Max subscription.

There is another option for watching old episodes of The Big Bang Theory, but only if you have old-fashioned cable TV. The Big Bang Theory is one of the most popular (and lucrative) shows in syndication, so reruns air pretty often on several cable networks. In fact, TBS just extended its syndication rights of the show through 2028. Yes, you read that date correctly. The show will air reruns on TBS through 2028. It might take a little wrangling or DVRing to make sure you catch the episodes in order, but those syndicated networks are a good alternative if you don't want to spend extra on an HBO Max subscription.
