3 Couples That Just Got Engaged on Bachelor in Paradise — and 1 That Didn't

Sep 7 2016 - 7:30am

Once upon a time, Bachelor in Paradise [1] was just about drinking and hooking up. Now, thanks in part to Jade and Tanner's love story on season two, the show is all about creating real connections that end with legit marriage. This season concluded with not one, not two, but three proposals . . . plus one very uncomfortable breakup that we all saw coming [2]. Here's how it all panned out for our favorite couples!

Evan and Carly

Season three's weirdest couple (I'm not being mean, they would back me up on that) sealed the deal! After proclaiming their love for each other, Evan got down on one knee and popped the question. In true Evan fashion, he said this: "I feel like my heart beats to your soul." I don't know whether to say "aww" or "eww"?

Status update: Carly has met Evan's kids, and she's moving in with him in Nashville in December!

Lace and Grant (aka #Grace)

After getting matching "Grace" tattoos (I will keep my opinion to myself on that one), Lace and Grant had a rocky night in the fantasy suite. Grant wasn't sure whether they knew enough about each other, but in the end, he opted to ask Lace for her hand.

Status update: Lace has moved in with Grant in San Francisco, and they're looking to set a date.

Amanda and Josh

Despite the cast's reservations about Josh [3], Amanda accepted his proposal when he got down on one knee. He promised to love her and her girls, and I hope it works out.

Status update: Josh moved to Orange County to live with Amanda and her girls.

Jen and Nick

Jen seemed ready to accept a ring from Nick, but he broke up with her on the spot. Strangely, she ended up comforting him when he started crying.

Status update: Nick is the new Bachelor [4]!
