The red carpet at the Emmys is a great place to rock unique accessories, but Fred Armisen took things surprisingly far. The star of IFC's Portlandia arrived to the ceremony sporting a claw hand, immediately recognizable to any horror fan as Freddy Krueger's weapon of choice. Why? Well, A Nightmare on Elm Street creator Wes Craven died at the end of August [1], so it may be an homage to the late, great filmmaker. On the other hand (pun intended), Armisen did start a charity for underprivileged children in need of Freddy Krueger hands [2]. He was joking — we think. Until we get a real explanation (if ever), here are all the pictures.
