We've been busy remembering all of Rory's boyfriends [1] and trying to piece together who (if anyone) she'll end up with [2] on Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life [3], and Alexis Bledel has just thrown us for a major loop. The actress spoke with Us Weekly and accidentally dropped a major clue [4] about who her character will not end up with. When asked about filming with Jared Padalecki, who plays Dean on the show, Bledel said, "It was great working with him again. He's always so affable and friendly, and he's got this great energy. Our scene was so fun to film. It was great to work with him again." She noted that they only filmed one scene together and quickly realized that fact in itself is very telling. "I guess I just said that, so oops!"
Only one scene? I guess we can kiss any hope of Rory and Dean living happily ever after off our dreams list.
