Ben Platt is giving me exactly what I need right now: glorious Kacey Musgraves covers. On Saturday, the star of The Politician [1] shared a video of himself singing [2] the country artist's hit song "Rainbow" [3] at his piano. No surprise, it's effortlessly beautiful. His talents attracted the attention of Musgraves herself (along with several other celebrities) and she replied with a sobbing emoji. My thoughts exactly! For me, the original version is already a bright spot on otherwise cloudy days — and I'll take all the covers I can get.
