Nov. 24 will now be known by ARMYs as the day that Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook finally earned the recognition they deserved in America due to BTS's 2021 Grammy nomination [1]. Prior to their nomination, RM told Esquire [2] that "I think the Grammys are the last part [3], like the final part of the whole American journey."

With their nomination for best pop duo/group performance for "Dynamite," [4] BTS has made history as the first K-pop group to be recognized [5] by the award ceremony. This isn't the first time the group have made history at the Grammys. In 2019, they were the first K-pop group to present an award [6], and in 2020, they were the first K-pop group to perform [7] at the show. Whether they will win is still to be seen as they're up against Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny, and more.
