Carey Mulligan hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time this weekend, and it was a family affair. During her opening monologue, the Promising Young Woman actress gushed about how excited she was to be hosting the show, especially after her husband, Marcus Mumford, appeared on the show three times with his band Mumford & Sons. As she said hello to Mumford on camera, she realized he was actually sitting in the audience. "What a surprise, lovely to see you. Um, where are the kids?" she asked to which he replied, "I left them with the Sons. I wouldn't miss this for the world." He then proceeded to crash her monologue, offering himself up as the musical guest if need be. See the adorable interaction in the video above.
