We'll never get tired of listening to songs that celebrate the beauty and strength of Black women [1], and thanks to Ciara [2], there's now another Black girl power anthem that's already managed to snag a spot at the top of our playlists. The 34-year-old singer surprise dropped a new single on Nov. 21 titled "Melanin," and it's a star-studded ode to Black girls everywhere. The song features assists from Ester Dean, the City Girls, LaLa Anthony, and Lupita Nyong'o [3] — yes, that Lupita Nyong'o.

"Hooked up with my girls @lupitanyongo @EsterDean @thegirljt @yungmiami305 @CityGirls and @LaLa to celebrate all my #Melanin Queens around the world," Ciara captioned an Instagram post [4] announcing the song's release.

Nyong'o lent her musical talents to the track and rapped as her alter ego, Troublemaker [5], while Ester Dean helped produce it. Listen to "Melanin" in full in the video above.
