During this year's BRIT Awards [1] on Tuesday, Coldplay [2] opened the show by performing for the first time since 2020, and it was truly epic. The band performed on what can only be described as a floating stage on the River Thames, which is directly outside the O2 arena. The performance featured a colorful rendition of their latest single, "Higher Power," and was made complete with impressive holograms and bright fireworks, and . . . you know, the floating down the Thames part.
Other performers of the night included the likes of Arlo Parks, BRIT's rising star Griff [3], The Weeknd, Olivia Rodrigo [4], Dua Lipa, Headie One, Olly Alexander, and Elton John, plus a special performance by Rag 'n' Bone Man and P!nk, featuring the NHS Greenwich choir.
