You'll Flip Out Over the Perfect Cast of USA's Dare Me

Jan 10 2020 - 10:25am

If you've ever thought to yourself, "I wish there were a show like Riverdale [1], but with a lot less cult activity and a lot more of the River Vixens," then you're in luck. Megan Abbott's 2012 twisted cheerleader thriller [2] Dare Me [3] has been adapted for a series on USA, and the cutthroat world of competitive high-school cheerleading has never been so dark (or so addicting to watch). While definitely a little less Bring It On [4] and a little more Euphoria [5], this twisty series is a must-watch, and the incredible cast only make it that much better. Read on to meet the residents of Sutton Grove.

Willa Fitzgerald as Coach Colette French

Best known for playing Emma Duval on MTV's Scream, Willa Fitzgerald stars in the series as Coach Colette French, a former star cheerleader turned high-school cheerleading coach who has a reputation for putting together all-star squads.

Herizen Guardiola as Addy Hanlon

Singer and actress Herizen Guardiola (whom you might recognize from her breakout role as Mylene Cruz on Netflix's The Get Down) plays Addy Hanlon, an ambitious high-school cheerleader who hopes to use her skills to secure a college scholarship and leave behind her Midwestern town of Sutton Grove.

Marlo Kelly as Beth Cassidy

Marlo Kelly, who got her start as Skye Peters on the Australian soap opera Home and Away, plays Beth Cassidy, Addy's BFF and fellow squad member who becomes wary of the bond that develops between Addy and Coach Colette — partially because Colette booted Beth from her role as captain when she took over as coach.

Rob Heaps as Matt French

Best known for starring as Ezra Bloom on Bravo's Imposters, Rob Heaps plays Matt French, Colette's husband whose new job relocates their family to Sutton Grove.

Zach Roerig as Sarge Will Mosley

Known for his roles as Casey Hughes on As the World Turns, Hunter Atwood on One Life to Live, and Matt Donovan on The Vampire Diaries, Zach Roerig appears as Sarge Will Mosley, the head Marine recruiter stationed at Sutton Grove High School.

Alison Thornton as Tacy Cassidy

Best known for playing Zooey Hernandez Frumpkis on Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce, Alison Thornton plays Tacy Cassidy, Beth's half-sister who's a freshman at Sutton Grove High School and eager to prove herself on the squad.

Paul Fitzgerald as Bert Cassidy

Actor, director, and writer Paul Fitzgerald — who's appeared in shows such as Younger and Veep — appears as Bert Cassidy, Beth and Tacy's real-estate developer father and the number-one cheer booster.
