Dove Cameron Live-Debuts Song "Remember Me" to Help Benefit World Health Organization

Apr 1 2020 - 9:15am

Dove Cameron is using her platform to help combat the coronavirus (COVID-19). On Tuesday, the 24-year-old singer partnered with Global Citizen and the World Health Organization for their virtual concert series, Together, At Home: Who-Global Citizen Solidarity Sessions [1]. The initiative enlists music artists who perform some of their best hits on Instagram Live and it aims to raise awareness of the efforts everyone can make to slow the spread COVID-19 while promoting a sense of unity. Other stars who have already participated include Chris Martin [2], John Legend [3], Charlie Puth [4], and Chloe x Halle [5].

Cameron began her set with a rendition of her jam "So Good," which was an apt way to kick things off. "Fun fact, the song that you just heard, 'So Good,' one of my singles, the chorus is actually exactly 20 seconds long," she said after crooning. "So that is the bare minimum amount of time that you should be washing your hands — Safe Hands Challenge [6] — to combat the coronavirus and stop the spread." She also sang her tune "Waste," [7] which she revealed is her favorite release yet.

At the end of her concert, the Descendants star debuted her new song, "Remember Me," which will officially drop on April 10. "This one might take 'Waste''s place as my favorite song that I've ever done," Cameron said. "I've never sung it before, and it takes a lot of breath control, so bear with me . . . I really hope you guys like it." Watch her show off her vocals in the video above, then see how celebrities continue to help others amid the pandemic [8].
