GLOW Up This Halloween With These '80s-Tastic Costumes Inspired by the Show
GLOW took Netflix by storm this Summer, providing us with an ample amount of laughs, drama, and a newfound fascination with '80s clothing. To celebrate the hilarious wrestling comedy coming back for season two, why not channel your favorite character on Halloween this year?
Debbie "Liberty Bell" Eagan
What to Wear: A shiny, low-cut gold leotard with gold arm bands and metallic stockings. Feel free to rock shiny gold boots or Debbie's trademark white socks and white Reebok sneakers. Make sure you wear a blond wig or curl your hair in big waves (and be liberal with your eye shadow).
How to Act: Like you own the place! You're an all-American girl, but you don't take sh*t from anyone.
Ruth "Zoya the Destroya" Wilder
What to Wear: A teased, brown curly wig with a shiny turquoise leotard. Toss on some shiny stockings, red arm bands, and red boots, and don't forget that giant yellow belt!
How to Act: You're going to need to perfect your Russian accent, and you're going to need to be an assh*le.
Stacey "Ethel Rosenblatt" Beswick and Dawn "Edna Rosenblatt" Rivecca
What to Wear: Stacey and Dawn fully embrace '80s style, so don't be afraid to mix all of that decade's biggest trends in one outfit. That means: colorful acid-wash jeans, shredded band t-shirts (with wolves on them, preferably), chunky jewelry, and fishnets. Make sure you and your friend have on wigs that match Dawn and Stacey's blond and brown hair colors!
How to Act: Inseparable. Try to finish each others' sentences and take some time to prank call a few of your friends together.
Carmen "Machu Picchu" Wade
What to Wear: Once you secure a short, brown curly wig, find yourself an oversize yellow t-shirt and a pair of shorts. Wear a red, printed cape and frilly red hat to match to complete Carmen's Machu Picchu wrestling persona.
How to Act: Sweet and vulnerable, but with plenty of inner strength, just like Carmen!
Tammé "The Welfare Queen" Dawson
What to Wear: A long-sleeved leopard-print leotard, with a gold belt and a long, black wig (make sure you tease those bangs!). Feel free to add in a fur coat.
How to Act: Totally and utterly confident, with plenty of comebacks at the ready.
Justine "Scab" Biagi
What to Wear: The bangs are key here, as are punk-rock touches like a ripped white shirt with your favorite band name written in Sharpie and a big silver necklace.
How to Act: Really quiet, maybe mention something about searching for your long-lost dad.
Sheila "The She Wolf"
What to Wear: A scraggly black wig (feel free to stick some twigs in it), a furry top, and ripped black jeans. Last but not least, grab some black eyeliner and smudge the crap out of it all over your eyes!
How to Act: Feral.
Rhonda "Britannica" Richardson
What to Wear: When she's not in her Britannica costume, Rhonda rocks tight, brightly colored activewear. Think: pink sports bras, cutouts, and neon prints. Don't forget a red wig!
How to Act: Smart, flirty, and very British.
Reggie "Vicky the Viking" Walsh
What to wear: Braid your hair the way Vicky does and wear a red, white, and blue windbreaker with an Olympic medal around your neck.
How to act: Soft-spoken and with a slight grudge against Liberty Bell.
Liberty Bell and Zoya the Destroya
What to Wear for Liberty Bell: A blond wig, a red headband, an American-flag-print leotard, and white sneakers.
What to Wear for Zoya the Destroya: Tease the crap out of a brown wig and then throw on a gray leotard and black boots.
How to Act: The two of you need to be at each others' throats all night.
What to Wear: A striped polo shirt, a big mustache, jeans, and black boots.
How to Act: Like a sleazy jerk with a heart of gold.
Cherry "Junkchain" Bang
What to Wear: A long, dark wig, a blue athletic romper, and sneakers. Cherry also wore a low-cut denim jumpsuit that would be fun!
How to Act: Tough as nails and in control. You're not afraid to put someone in their place.
Melanie "Melrose" Rosen
What to Wear: Tease your hair and wrap a black scarf around your head as a headband. Toss on high-waisted denim shorts or a jean skirt and a strapless, bedazzled top. Wear lots of necklaces, fishnet stockings, and plenty of bangles.
How to Act: Really obnoxious.
What to Wear: Bash is all about the pastels, so troll Goodwill for a mint blazer and matching turtleneck to wear with gray slacks and loafers.
How to Act: A little out of your mind, but well-meaning.
