It really was a beautiful day in the neighborhood on the most recent episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show [1]. During yet another one of her "Kellyoke" [2] segments on Dec. 3, Kelly Clarkson [3] gave her audience a rush of nostalgia and got in on all the hoopla surrounding Tom Hanks [4]'s role as Fred Rogers in the biopic A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood [5]. The singer slowed things down a bit to perform a jazzy rendition of the Mister Rogers' Neighborhood theme song, "Won't You Be My Neighbor?" and was accompanied on stage by a live band and her dancer, Mason, who performed dressed as the TV icon behind a screen in the background.
