Saturday Night Live [1]'s season 45 finale kicked off with a monologue from none other than Kristen Wiig. For the show's third at-home episode, Kristen rolled out of bed, slipped on some sequins, and flashed the camera before launching into a full dance sequence. Things quieted down as she sent her mom some well-wishes and sang — er, belted — a lullaby.
Live tapings of SNL shut down because of the coronavirus pandemic, but the show returned with its first-ever at-home edition on April 11, when Tom Hanks delivered an opening monologue from his kitchen [2]. Since then, the writers have gotten creative with their skits, with cast members and celebrity guests filming remotely. Brad Pitt transformed into Dr. Anthony Fauci [3] for the April 25 episode, which also included a hilarious Kate McKinnon sketch [4] starring her cat as a coworker, plus a memorable performance from Miley Cyrus [5].
