When it comes to the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine [1], Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman [2] did not mince words during their opening monologue at the Film Independent Spirit Awards [3] on March 6. The married couple opened the Spirit Awards by sending their "best wishes" to Ukraine before telling Vladimir Putin to "f*ck off" and holding their middle fingers to the camera.
"I think we speak for everyone here when we say that we are hoping for a quick, peaceful resolution," Mullally said. "Specifically, f*ck off and go home, Putin!" Offerman added, "We hope Putin f*cks off and goes home, and to that end, let's all join together with a Spirit Awards salute to Putin."
Mullally concluded, "Great organizations are raising money [for Ukrainian refugees]. Please give what you can to give to the victims of this senseless act of aggression." Watch Mullally and Offerman's opening monologue above.
