It's an exciting week for new music, amirite? After much anticipation, Megan Thee Stallion finally gave us what we've been asking for and dropped her Good News debut album. And not only that, but she also blessed us with the music video for "Body," which is filled to the brim with sexy celebrity cameos. We also had collabs from Dua Lipa and Miley Cyrus, as well as Justin Bieber and Shawn Mendes. Still, the biggest highlight of the week for me was RBD's reunion! After 12 very long years, the band finally came together again and treated us to a new bop! To say that I'm still in my feelings is an understatement.

As POPSUGAR editors, my colleagues and I love discussing our new weekly music finds, so check out our recommendations in the latest edition of The Friday Drop ahead.

"Shots Fired” by Megan Thee Stallion

"I can't remember the last time a song gave me a genuine belly laugh, but 'Shots Fired' did it for me. Ms. Megan came for T*ry L*n*z's neck, and I have no choice but to rock with it. We really need to grasp the fact that Megan was literally shot, faced public scrutiny for being shot (make that make sense), and still came out on top. That's some Hot Girl sh*t. And I love that she doesn't waste a ton of energy addressing the shooting on her debut album, Good News. She says what she needs to and promptly moves on." — Brea Cubit, assistant editor, celebrity and entertainment

"Prisoner" by Miley Cyrus feat. Dua Lipa

"I love everything about this song: the video, Lipa, Cyrus, and all the havoc they're wrecking. This collab feels like the perfect match, and I'm only mad we didn't get it sooner. But good things take time, right?" — Monica Sisavat, editor, celebrity and entertainment

"Cyrus and Lipa came through with this collaboration! This is such a fun disco-punk track, and I love their chemistry." — Brea Cubit, assistant editor, celebrity and entertainment

"Siempre He Estado Aquí" by RBD

"Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine I'd be including an RBD song in The Friday Drop, but here we are. After 12 long years, the Mexican novela band reunited, and my high school self is screaming! Given what a huge fan I was of RBD growing up (I even had the pleasure of seeing them live in concert once), this was such a sweet surprise. Sadly, the reunion is missing Dulce María and Alfonso "Poncho" Herrera, but hopefully they'll all come together for their upcoming 'Ser o Parecer' virtual event. Fingers crossed!" — Monica Sisavat, editor, celebrity and entertainment

“Life Goes On” by BTS

"Something about BTS assuring me that life goes on is really comforting. Like, hearing them say it, specifically, puts my mind at ease. Is that weird?" — Brea Cubit, assistant editor, celebrity and entertainment

"Monster" by Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber

"I'll admit when I first heard about this collab, I was a little weirded out by it, given that Mendes used to date Hailey, who is now married to Justin. Nevertheless, I'm here for this song. Justin is clearly on a path of redemption, and I truly believe every word he is singing. I think it's time we gave him another chance." — Monica Sisavat, editor, celebrity and entertainment

“System” by Tayla Parx

"Y'all are going to put some respect on Parx's name, OK? She really delivered on her new LP, Coping Mechanisms, and 'System' is definitely one of my favorite tracks. She sounds amazing, the bass hits, and the electronic beat-change at the end keeps you enwrapped in the rhythm." — Brea Cubit, assistant editor, celebrity and entertainment

“Blackout Christmas” by Vérité

"When I spoke with Vérité earlier this month, she teased this song, saying, 'It's the most depressing sh*t you'll ever get for Christmas.' And she wasn't wrong! This track is all about feeling lonely during the holidays and wanting to forget about past hurt by drinking your sorrows away. I'm not sure if St. Nicholas would vibe with this, but I certainly am. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy jolly holiday bops, but I also love when artists do the unexpected, and this definitely falls into that category. Oh, and the production is beautiful." — Brea Cubit, assistant editor, celebrity and entertainment
