Olivia Rodrigo [1] made her debut on Saturday Night Live [2] as this week's musical guest. Fresh off her performance at the BRIT Awards [3], the 18-year-old singer took the stage once again to perform her hits "Drivers License" and "Good 4 U," and we still have chills. Given that SNL previously parodied "Drivers License [4]" when Regé-Jean Page hosted the show back in February, this feels like a full-circle moment for her.
Rodrigo's SNL appearance comes just a day after she dropped the video for "Good 4 U [5]" and less than a week before the release of her debut album, Sour [6]. "This album is full of stuff that I like, which is so diverse," Rodrigo previously said in an interview with The Face [7]. "There are elements of alternative rock in there, alt-pop, some country and definitely a lot of folk. I think anyone can find something they like hidden in one of the songs." As for the album's title, Rodrigo said, "It's a very visceral word, one that captures the sounds that I'm inspired by and a specific slice of my life at 17. Plus it has my initials in it, which is a bonus!"
As we count down the days until Rodrigo's album release, check out her SNL performances ahead.
