Matthew Lillard

Lillard is known for portraying Stu Macher in the first film, where his character was famously killed by Sidney Prescott. But in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Good Girls actor revealed the small tidbit that would allow him to (happily) reprise the role.

"It was originally conceived that Stu was running a collection of kids in high school that did horrible things," Lillard said, explaining how the original shooting script for Scream 3 revealed that Stu had survived and had been living in secret. But when the Columbine High School shooting occurred right before the film went into production, the plans were scrapped when. But Lillard is still down for a comeback!

"I would love to come back," he said. "Actors, for the most part, most of us are out here tap dancing as fast as we can to feed our families and get jobs. So if there was a chance to come back, that made sense, yes."
