Dancing With the Stars: Every Single Time Nelly Has Stunned on the Dance Floor

Rapper Nelly is just the latest musician to try his hand on the ballroom floor during the current season of Dancing With the Stars. Although he hasn't been one of the celebs getting sky-high scores right out of the gate, it's been clear from the very beginning that he's having a great time with this brand-new challenge and giving his all to learning each of the new routines that comes his way. Along with partner Daniella Karagach, who (like husband and pro partner Pasha Pashkov) is a newly promoted dancer from the DWTS troupe this season, Nelly has been entertaining every time he steps onto the dance floor. Watch through each of his performances so far in the gallery ahead!

Week 1: Salsa

Nelly and partner Daniella made their DWTS debut with an enthusiastic, if technically "meh," salsa to his own song "Ride Wit Me." He earned criticism for his posture and movements, but wowed everyone with an impressive backflip and serious enthusiasm. In the end, it wasn't enough to keep him out of the bottom section of the pack: he scored 16 out of 30, fourth from the bottom (ahead of Carole, Charles, and Chrishell).

Week 2: Cha Cha

Week two saw Nelly improving on some of the elements the judges suggested the week before. Although he still couldn't quite nail the sharp, precise movements, this cha-cha to Earth, Wind & Fire's "Let's Groove" was enough of an improvement to earn him two more points for an 18 out of 30, placing him solidly in the middle of the leaderboard for the week in a six-way tie with other couples scoring the same.

Week 3: Foxtrot

Disney week is often a week where stars unexpectedly shine, and Nelly got to take on his first full-fledged ballroom number to "It's All Right," a new song from the upcoming movie Soul. He still struggled a bit with posture and fluidity, although the dance was totally charming! For the second week straight, he earned a score of 18 out of 30, tying him with Skai for third-to-last place for the week.
