BTS's "Yet to Come" Concert Film Sets November Streaming Date

BTS held their highly anticipated "Yet to Come" concert in Busan on Oct. 15, 2022, to promote the South Korean city's bid to host the 2030 World Expo, and the boys did not disappoint. The concert was attended by 50,000 ARMYs in person, with tens of millions of fans tuning in to free live streams of the concert across Hybe's Weverse app, Naver Now, and Zepeto. (The load was seemingly so heavy that all of the official streams went down intermittently throughout the show, forcing fans to bounce between them.)

BTS made such an impact, in fact, that their concert was screened in theaters from Feb. 1 to Feb. 5. Fans who flocked to theaters across the US to relive the concert were able to watch the boys perform a set of 18 songs that spanned their entire career, from "Ma City" and "Spring Day" to "Butter" and "Yet to Come." They were also able to look back on the boys' ending speeches, during which the stadium sang "Happy Birthday" to Jimin in honor of his 27th birthday (which was a few days before the concert). Fortunately, if you missed the live stream and the chance to see the film in theaters, fans all over the world will soon be able to stream "Yet to Come" on Prime Video, as the streamer has announced that it will be available to stream in November.

Despite BTS's hiatus, the boys' ongoing solo projects, and Jin, J-Hope, and Suga's military enlistments, the members have repeatedly stressed that the "Yet to Come" concert is not their last — and the band is now slated to officially reunite in 2025 For now, though, hopefully the "Yet to Come" film will tide fans over. Read on for all the information about the boys' iconic "Yet to Come" concert in Busan.

What Is a World Expo?

So what is a World Expo, and why does Busan want to host it?

According to the Korea Society, World Expos are "a global gathering of nations dedicated to finding solutions to pressing challenges." In a video posted to the Busan World Expo official Twitter account, RM further explained, "The World Expo is a global festival started in 1851 that brings together countries under the theme of industrial, technological, and cultural development. We are very honored to be named ambassadors for such a meaningful event."

"If the World Expo opens in Busan in 2030, Korea will be the seventh country to have held the world's three mega events along with the World Cup and the Olympics," Jimin added. "I'm so excited that it could be held in my hometown of Busan, and we'll strive to show the world Korea's beautiful nature and cultural power."

World Expos are held every five years, and countries can submit a bid to host the event and choose its theme. In June 2021, Korea bid to host the World Expo in Busan based on the theme "Transforming Our World, Navigating Toward a Better Future."

The host country for the World Expo will be selected by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) in November 2023. Besides Busan, other candidates in the running for the 2030 World Expo are Rome; Odessa, Ukraine; and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Moscow also submitted a bid, but they withdrew it in May 2022.

If Busan is chosen for the World Expo, the city's mayor said he hopes the event will "serve as an opportunity to showcase Korea's strength not only in its advanced technologies, but also in its cultural strength."
