Disney's live-action reimagining of "Pinocchio" is headed our way in September, and we finally have a glimpse of what's to come from the magical tale. On May 31, Disney teased a short clip for the forthcoming film (not to be confused with Guillermo del Toro's stop-motion adaptation set to hit Netflix in December) with Tom Hanks completely transformed into the infamous Pinocchio woodcarver Geppetto. "Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight. I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish I wish tonight," Hanks says in the teaser, reciting the iconic wish from the original 1940 movie.

On Aug. 24, Disney released "Pinocchio"'s full trailer with another close-up look at all the magic that brings Benjamin Evan Ainsworth's wooden puppet to life. With animated appearances from the famous Jiminy Cricket character and Cynthia Erivo dolled up as the enchanting Blue Fairy, Disney's "Pinocchio" is surely a dazzling update to the beloved kids classic.

In addition to Hanks, Erivo, and Ainsworth, the star-studded cast of "Pinocchio" also includes Keegan-Michael Key, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Luke Evans, and Lorraine Bracco. Disney's new reimagining is the latest to get the live-action treatment following the release of "Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers." The Robert Zemeckis-directed film is set to premiere on Disney+ on Sept. 8.
