After earning a whopping 15 nominations for its sixth and final season [1], Schitt's Creek [2] had an amazing night at Sunday's Emmys. During the Creative Arts Emmys, which were held on Sept. 19, the show took home both outstanding casting for a comedy series and outstanding contemporary costumes.
At the Emmys, Schitt's Creek [3] won the award for outstanding comedy series, making it the first family sitcom to do so since Modern Family in 2014 [4]. The entire Rose family — Eugene Levy, Dan Levy [5], Annie Murphy, and Catherine O'Hara — also took home Emmys for their performances. Schitt's Creek managed to set the Emmy record [6], with their nine wins, for number of awards won by a comedy in a single season. It's nice to see the show get recognized for all the laughs it's brought us [7] over the years, particularly with the heartwarming connections [8] the cast has made [9].
From Dan freaking out over his costars [10]' wins to Catherine finally getting an Emmy [11] for the iconic Moira Rose, each win had us jumping for joy. Check out the full list of their wins and speeches below!
