Silk Sonic [2] made their American Music Awards [3] debut on Sunday night, and even better, they opened the show! Per usual, the group put on a showstopping performance as they performed their latest single "Smokin Out the Window." The soulful group scored three nominations [4] this year — including favorite music video and favorite pop duo or group. By the end of the night, Silk Sonic took home the award for favorite R&B song with their No. 1 hit "Leave the Door Open."

The dynamic duo made a huge splash at the Grammy Awards this year with their incredible performance [5] of "Leave the Door Open," and we, of course, couldn't get enough of it, which is why they delivered encore performances of their No. 1 hit at the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards [6] and the 2021 BET Awards. And after months of teasing their debut album — hosted by funk legend Bootsy Collins — Silk Sonic finally released An Evening With Silk Sonic [7] on Nov. 19.
