The Umbrella Academy"'s third season [1] is slowly coming together, and there are a handful of new faces coming along for the ride. On Jan. 11, 2021, Netflix unveiled the six actors — and one existential-dread-inducing psykronium cube — who make up the new Sparrow Academy. While Justin H. Min will be playing a new version of Ben, there are some well-known actors playing his gifted brothers and sisters, including Justin Cornwell from "Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey" and Jake Epstein from "Degrassi." On March 1, Netflix announced [2] that Javon Walton [3], aka Ashtray from "Euphoria [4]," has also joined the cast.
The Netflix series' second season, which premiered in July 2020, ends on quite a cliffhanger [5], with the Umbrella Academy traveling back to the future to find that they have completely altered the present. Not only are Ben and their father Reginald Hargreeves alive, but the Umbrella Academy has also been replaced with a new superhero group called the Sparrow Academy [6]. The new season will consist of 10 episodes and will hit the streamer on June 22. Ahead, check out the full cast list.
Justin H. Min as Ben
The actor will reprise his role as Ben, although Netflix warned that this new version of his character will not be "the sweet Ben we know and love."
Cazzie David as Jayme
The "Eighty-Sixed" actress will play Jayme, who is described "a loner hidden under a hoodie" and whose only friend is Alphonso (Jake Epstein).
Genesis Rodriguez as Sloane
The "Big Hero 6" actress will play Sloane, "a romantic and a dreamer" who has hopes of one day leaving the Sparrow Academy behind and venturing into the real world.
Jake Epstein as Alphonso
The "Degrassi" alum will play Alphonso, who is "armed with a caustic and biting sense of humor."
Britne Oldford as Fei
The "Hunters" actress will play Fei, who is "the smartest person in the room" and super cunning.
Justin Cornwell as Marcus
The "Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey" actor will play Marcus, who is Sparrow #1 in the new group. He is described as "charming, chiseled, colossus" and "oozes confidence and leadership."
Tom Hopper as Luther
The actor will reprise his role as Luther in the new season.
Elliot Page as Viktor
Page revealed on March 29 that his "Umbrella Academy" character would now be going by the name Viktor [8]. Netflix confirmed the character is trans.
David Castañeda as Diego
Castañeda will return as Diego in season three.
Aidan Gallagher as Number Five
The actor will return as Number Five in season three.
Emmy Raver-Lampman as Allison
Raver-Lampman will reprise her role as Allison in season three.
Ritu Arya as Lila
The actress will return as Lila, the season two villain who learns that she has superpowers like The Umbrella Academy [9] in the finale.
Robert Sheehan as Klaus
Sheehan will return as Klaus next season.
Adam Godley as Pogo
Godley will continue to voice Pogo in season three.
Colm Feore as Sir Reginald Hargreeves
After Sir Reginald Hargreeves came back from the dead last season, Colm Feore will reprise his role as the Umbrella Academy [10]'s cruel adoptive father in the upcoming season.
Javon Walton
Netflix hasn't released any details about Walton's role yet, but on March 1, the streamer confirmed the "Euphoria [11]" star as the newest member of "The Umbrella Academy [12]." "I heard a rumor… that Javon Walton is joining the cast of Umbrella Academy Season 3 — and I'm happy to confirm that it is true!," Netflix tweeted [13].
