The Voice: Carter Rubin's Inspiring Rendition of "The Climb" Even Wowed the Competition

The Voice finalist Carter Rubin delivered yet another touching performance [1] during the finale on Monday night, belting out a beautiful tune one last time before the winner is revealed on Tuesday. The 15-year-old sang a stunning, inspiring rendition of Miley Cyrus [2]'s "The Climb," as his coach Gwen Stefani [3] watched proudly. The talented young musician has impressed the judges [4] time and time again throughout the season, often moving them to tears [5] following his heartfelt, powerful vocal performances.

"I'm so happy for you," Stefani said to Rubin. "You're unbelievable, you're just so calm, and it feels like you're just meant to be doing this, and I know that America's gonna see that tonight." Fellow judge Blake Shelton also chimed in, praising Rubin's talent and declaring himself a fan. "I gotta say, even though I'm supposed to be your competition, I've never felt that. This has been a tough year for everybody in the world, and to end this year, and sit in this chair and listen to somebody with your talent, with your heart . . . unbelievable," he said.
